Music director Lalit Pandit (of the erstwhile Jatin-Lalit duo) faced the camera for a feature film this week. So did lyricist Javed Akhtar and singer Alka Yagnik, he participated in the shooting of director Madhurita Anand's Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye.
Lalit Pandit, Javed Akhtar and Alka Yagnik have became household faces after judging different but hugely popular music reality shows. Accustomed to make-up and shooting schedules the makers of the film were surprised to find the ease at which these music maestros were comfortable in front of the camera. They were playing the same roles on screen for the first time, so guess it was even easier!
Incidentally, Lalit Pandit has released Life Mein Kabhie Kabhie this year and Showbiz hits the screen this week. He is also scoring music for several other films, including a Red Chillies' Entertainment presentation Dulha Mil Gaya. Javed Akhtar has written hits like Om Shanti Om and Namastey London this year and Alka Yagnik has sung in Guru and some other films.
