Chiyaan Vikram is generally very private when it comes to his personal life. So when his daughter Akshitha got engaged on the 10th of July, it was just a family function attended by family members and close friends. The function happened in a resort in the ECR in Chennai.
Akshitha got engaged to Manu Ranjith, son of Cavin Kare Ranganathan and Thenmozhi. Incidentally Thenmozhi is the daughter of Mu Ka Muthu who is the son of DMK patriarch Karunanidhi. Hence the function was attended by Karunanidhi, his grandson Udhayanidhi Stalin and some bigwigs of DMK party.
Director Shankar was also present along with Krishna Sweets Murali and a few highfliers of Chennai. It is reported that the wedding will happen in 2017 when Vikram would invite everyone from the film fraternity.
