Actor Dhanush and filmmaker Vetrimaaran, who earlier worked in critically-acclaimed Tamil films such as "Aadukalam" and "Polladhavan", are set to team up for the third time in the upcoming drama "Vada Chennai".
"I had discussed the story of 'Vada Chennai' with Dhanush while working on 'Pollathavan' (2007). It somehow didn't materialise right away and we went ahead with our respective projects. We've finally decided to revive the project," Vetrimaaran told.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu, currently shooting with Dhanush for a yet-untitled Tamil project, has been roped in for "Vada Chennai" as well.
"We start shooting from September. Santhosh Narayanan will compose the tunes. The rest of the cast will be finalised soon," he said.
Dhanush and Vetrimaaran were to team up for another project titled "Soodhadi". Vetrimaaran says he isn't sure when it will happen.
Meanwhile, Vetrimaaran is currently awaiting the release of Tamil thriller "Visaranai".
