INOX, the first national multiplex at Chennai, has opened up at the Chennai Citi Centre on Radhakrishnan Road.
Chennai's box-office market has been booming, thanks to some path breaking efforts by film-makers and the supportive audiences. Now with the four-screen multiplex, which began its operations on Friday, January 19, Chennaiites are nothing less than thrilled.
More so, because watching films is not just another pastime for people here, it is an experience to be cherished. This explains the reason behind the thronging crowds at the state-of-the-art Sathyam Cinemas, which, in the last couple of years has redefined the movie watching experience altogether. Yes indeed, people here are more than happy about watching films without bug bites, unsteady chairs, stale popcorn scattered here and there and unpleasant odours.
However, for Chennaiites who have always looked forward to combine movie watching with some shopping and chilling out, INOX has arrived, much to their excitement.
INOX at Chennai is the 13th multiplex for the company across the country. This, however, is the first national multiplex chain to start operations in Chennai.
The four-screen multiplex at Citi Centre has a total of 909 seats. At a space of 35,000 sq ft, INOX also has an in-house food counter, refuel and other facilities. The films screened here will include films in Tamil, Hindi and English.
At INOX, the ambience is something to watch out for. This is, of course, complemented by superior design, features, security, service and state-of-the-art equipment.
