Chiyaan Vikram's 'Iru Mugan' that released last Thursday (September 8) has achieved the third biggest opening of the year. The film has collected around Rs.2.35 crores in Chennai and a whopping Rs.19 crores across Tamil Nadu in its Four day opening weekend.
Earlier we had reported that the Anand Shankar directed International spy thriller flick has collected Rs.58.73 lakhs in Chennai and Rs.5 crores in Tamil Nadu on the first day of the film's release.
In the next three days, the film has been screened in 22 theaters across Chennai. With 95% occupancy for 416 shows , the film has collected approximately Rs.1,77,98,200. The total collections for the four day weekend come to Rs.2,36,72,020 in Chennai alone.
With such an Excellent performance, 'Iru Mugan' has achieved the third biggest Opening in Chennai.
In Chengalpet the film has collected Rs.4.5 crores (Rs.1.2 crores on first day) and Coimbatore Rs.3 crores (Rs.80 Lakhs on day 1) in the four days.
The total collections in Tamil Nadu comes close to Rs.19 crores and the film is slowly marching towards the Super hit status.
'Iru Mugan' produced by Shibu Thameens stars Vikram in dual roles while Nayanthara and Nithya Menen have played the pivotal female characters. Harris Jayaraj has rendered the musical score.
